Minutes of June 19, 2004 Meeting
Sgt.-at-Arms Greg Holzer called the meeting to order. President Joe Picarella led the membership in the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. A moment of silence followed for our deceased brothers, those that are ill and in the services.
Chris Lanieri motioned to accept the minutes for June 5. Vinny Raso seconded it. The motion carried.
There will be no meeting July 3 due to the holiday.
HEALTH REPORT: Frank Valentino is coming along, slowly improving; his wife Stella reported that he went with her to the bank yesterday. Pete Rugolo is doing better after his fall and hopes to be at the next meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Treasurer Tony di Milo read the financial report. Incomes from June 5th meeting were Luncheon, $372 and non-eaters, $20 for a total of $392. Luncheon expenses were $361 and gratuities $5, for a gain of $26. Other income was 50/50 winnings, $35; Dues, $35, and Man-of-the-Year Dinner Reservations, $184. Expenses were Postage, $93.52. Balance is $4142.45. Jimmy D’Arrigo motioned to accept. Joe Buondelmonte seconded it. The motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS: Treas. di Milo urged all members who haven’t sent in their checks for the Man-of-the-Year Luncheon to please do so as soon as possible.
Pres. Picarella adjourned the meeting. The next meeting shall be at 11:30 on July 17 at the Villa Sorrento.
